Film poster Homo Ludens. A person in an elaborate red and orange floral costume with a wide flowered hat stands in a bright hall.

Homo Ludens. Human at Play approaches a fundamental phenomenon of human life: Why do humans play?

The film examines play through psychological, anthropological, cultural, and philosophical perspectives, revealing that play is far more than mere pastime: it is an expression of human action. The film observes individual as well as collective forms of play and explores the motivations behind them. What inner processes, tensions, and projections are hidden within play? And what does this desire to play reveal about our present time?
